Cooking Classes for Kids Ages 8-17

Inspire your children to learn about healthy eating choices, cooking and knife skills, reading recipes, kitchen safety and using appliances,  measuring and even how to grocery shop...all in a friendly environment in your home with friends and family!

Minimum Class Size is 5 - Maximum Class Size is 10    

Classes are 2 hours                                         

Each class will have 2 recipes they will make and eat together- Recipes will be age appropriate and customized for you with Chef Dennis

Cost is $60 per child based on menu and a $100 deposit to hold the date/ Deposit amount will be deducted from total cost of event.

A flat $50 Grocery Fee is added to event cost. Request for high end menu items will have additional fee. Chef Dennis does all the shopping for event.

We provide cutting boards, measuring cups, cooking utensils, paring knives, and all necessary items to make recipes. Your kitchen will also be left clean!

* Class for Ages 8 on up: Focus is on kitchen safety, spreading, pouring, peeling, mixing and measuring, basic knife skills, cracking eggs, reading recipes, finding and gathering ingredients and microwave and oven use.

* Class for Ages 10-12- Focus on all of the above plus more knife and safety skills, use of blender and food processor, dicing and chopping, and more stove top skills with sauteing.

*Class for Ages 13-15- Focus on all of the above with more emphasis on details, creating your own recipes, sauces and garnishes and menu planning.

*OFF TO COLLEGE CLASS FOR AGES 16 +- Focus on all of the above and adding grocery shopping field trip, learning to make good food out of a microwave, and healthy habits to last a lifetime.
